Shop Front Elevation, ACP Fascia & Signage Backing
The band above your shopfront is your biggest advertisement. Build it straight, sealed and ready for your brand.
An ACP fascia is a horizontal band of aluminium composite panels above a shop or showroom front that frames the glazing and carries the brand signage. Cladex Elevations builds ACP fascias, signage backing panels and shop front elevations for retail stores and showrooms in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
An ACP fascia is the horizontal band of aluminium composite panels that runs above a shop or showroom front, hiding the beam and slab edge, framing the glass below and giving the brand name a clean, uniform background. Together with the glazing, it forms the shop front elevation, which is what a customer sees first from the road. Done well, it looks like part of the building; done badly, it looks like a board nailed onto a wall.
The Chandra Hyundai showroom on Avinashi Road, Chinniyampalayam, Coimbatore shows the idea clearly: a continuous ACP fascia band sits above a frameless glass front, giving the showroom a single, confident line. Our team of engineers, led by Er. Sanjay M. and Er. Aravind M., plans the fascia depth, joint positions and fixings so that the band stays straight along its full length and is ready to receive your signage.
Shop fronts have their own practical demands. The fascia must carry the weight of illuminated letters or a sign box, leave space for wiring and drivers, resist dust and traffic grime, and be finished quickly because a closed shop loses trade every day. We coordinate with your signage and electrical vendors so their work fits onto ours without rework, and we sequence the job to keep the shop open for as long as possible.
Why choose ACP Signage & Fascia
Clean brand backdrop
A flat, uniform ACP surface makes letters and logos stand out far better than a painted or tiled wall behind them.
Close match to brand colours
ACP is available in a broad shade range, so most retail colour schemes can be matched closely or carried in an accent band.
Ready for signage
We can plan internal framing at sign locations so illuminated letters or sign boxes have solid fixing points and a path for wiring.
Hides untidy structure
Beams, slab edges, shutter boxes and old signage brackets disappear behind a single straight band.
Minimal shop downtime
Fabrication of folded panels is quick and the work is dry, so the store front is disrupted for as short a period as possible.
Easy to wash
Road dust and vehicle grime wipe off the coated surface, keeping the frontage presentable between festive-season refreshes.

ACP Signage & Fascia, explained in drawings
How we build a shop fascia that stays straight
Long fascia bands are unforgiving: a dip of a few millimetres over twenty feet is visible from across the road. We start by setting a true line with a level along the full length and building the framework to that line, packing out where the beam or slab edge is uneven. Panel joints are planned to fall at regular intervals or behind signage so the band reads as one continuous element.
The top edge is where most fascias fail. Rainwater, dust and bird droppings collect there, then run down the face. We fold a proper cap or drip edge on top, slope it away from the face and seal it to the wall, so the band stays clean and water does not get into the framework. The bottom edge is finished to meet the glazing or shutter box neatly.
ACP fascia vs painted or tiled shop fronts
A painted fascia is cheap at first but needs repainting regularly, and the colour rarely stays even under the sun. Tiles or stone add weight, crack over time and leave grout lines that interrupt signage. ACP gives a flat, joint-controlled surface with factory coating, which is why many branded retail chains specify it for their store fronts.
ACP also makes rebranding easier. When a store changes its signage or tenant, the fascia can usually stay in place with only the letters changed, or individual panels can be replaced in a new colour without disturbing the rest. That flexibility is valuable for landlords of commercial complexes as well as for shop owners.
What affects the cost of a shop front elevation
Cost depends on the length and depth of the fascia, whether it wraps around corners or columns, the sheet grade and finish, and any extra structure needed to support heavy illuminated signage. Mirror and special metallic finishes cost more than solid colours, and curved or angled fascias take more fabrication time than flat bands.
Site access and timing also count. Fascias on busy roads may need work outside trading hours, and upper-floor bands need scaffolding or a lift. If you share your store photos, frontage length and any brand guideline on WhatsApp, we will visit, measure and send a free, itemised quotation that separates fascia, framing and signage provisions.

ACP Signage & Fascia: questions answered
What is an ACP fascia on a shop front?
An ACP fascia is a horizontal band of aluminium composite panels above a shop or showroom front. It covers the beam and slab edge, frames the glass or shutter below, and gives the brand name a clean, even background. Because ACP is flat, light and factory-coated, it looks sharper and lasts better than a painted or tiled band.
What is the price of ACP board work for a shop front?
The price depends on the fascia length and depth, corners and column wraps, the ACP grade and finish, extra framing for heavy illuminated signage, height and access, and whether work must happen outside trading hours. Because each frontage is different, Cladex visits the shop, measures it and sends a free itemised quote on WhatsApp, with fascia, framing and signage provisions shown separately.
Can you match ACP to my brand colour?
Most brand colours can be matched closely from the standard shade ranges that ACP manufacturers offer, and metallic or mirror finishes can be used as accents. Exact special shades can sometimes be ordered from manufacturers, but usually with minimum quantities and longer lead times. Share your brand guideline and we will help you choose the nearest available shades from physical samples.
Can illuminated signage be fixed on an ACP fascia?
Yes. Illuminated letters and sign boxes are commonly fixed onto ACP fascias. The key is planning: we add internal framing at the sign locations so fixings go into solid support rather than just the sheet, and leave cable entries and access for drivers or transformers. We coordinate dimensions with your signage vendor before the fascia is closed.
Which ACP thickness is best for a shop fascia?
For long exterior fascia bands exposed to sun and wind, 4 mm ACP with a PVDF coating is the safer choice because it stays flatter and holds colour better. 3 mm sheets are widely used for signage backing panels, small fascias and sheltered locations such as inside malls. Panel size and support spacing also affect flatness.
How do I stop black streaks on my shop fascia?
Black streaks usually come from rainwater carrying dust off the top edge and down the face. The fix is detailing: a folded cap or drip edge on top, sloped away from the face and sealed to the wall, plus regular washing with water and mild detergent. On new fascias we build the drip edge in from the start.
Do you work on showrooms outside Coimbatore?
Yes. Cladex Elevations is based in Coimbatore with two offices in the city and takes up shop front and showroom work across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. For outstation sites, sharing photos, frontage dimensions and your timeline on WhatsApp first helps us plan the site visit and give you an accurate quotation.

ACP Cladding
ACP cladding is the fixing of aluminium composite panels, two thin painted aluminium skins bonded to a polyethylene or fire-retardant mineral core, onto a metal framework over a building's walls to give a light, flat, weather-resistant facade. Cladex Elevations designs and installs ACP cladding across Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Explore GlazingSpider Glazing
Spider glazing is a frameless, point-fixed glass system in which toughened glass panels are held at their corners by stainless steel spider fittings bolted through pre-drilled holes and supported on a steel, cable or glass-fin structure behind. Cladex Elevations installs spider glazing for showrooms, lobbies and entrances in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Explore Toughened GlassToughened Glass
Toughened glass, also called tempered glass, is safety glass that has been heated and rapidly cooled so it is roughly four to five times stronger than ordinary annealed glass of the same thickness and breaks into small, blunt pieces. Cladex Elevations supplies and installs toughened glass doors, shopfronts, partitions and facades in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
